Research
Our technology uses cross-species approaches to develop tools for the safety assessment of drug candidates. The CrossGen CG+ technology identifies and selects orthologous sequences after cross-species sequence comparison to develop in silico tools. These tools can be applied to archived gene expression data of previously terminated drug development programs due to unexplained toxicity or poor efficacy data, see case study. Through cross-species approaches bridging markers can be selected to aid the extrapolation and translation of data from model species to human. An aspect of our cross-species technology is the application to the improvement of crops by transferring important traits from resource rich crops to resource poor crops.
